How do I connect Canvas to Langsly?
Paste a Canvas access token in the Canvas LMS card under Profile > Settings, then link a class to a Canvas course to import its roster and send lesson scores to the Canvas gradebook.
How to do it
- In Canvas, open Account > Settings, scroll to Approved Integrations, and choose New Access Token. Name it Langsly, choose Generate Token, and copy it; Canvas shows it only once.
- In Langsly, open Profile > Settings. In the Canvas LMS card, enter your Canvas address (for example yourschool.instructure.com) and paste the Access token.
- Select Connect Canvas. The card confirms the account and Canvas address you are connected to.
- Create or edit a class and pick a course in the Canvas course field.
- On the class student list, select Import from Canvas to enroll students whose Langsly email matches their Canvas email.
Frequently asked questions
- Does Langsly create accounts for my Canvas students?
- No. Langsly never creates accounts from a roster. Students sign up themselves, then join the class.
- What happens in Canvas when I assign a lesson?
- Langsly creates a 100-point Canvas assignment with a link to the lesson, and the lesson score is sent to the Canvas gradebook.
- My token stopped working. What now?
- Create a new token in Canvas, select Reconnect Canvas, and paste it.
