What if a student on my Canvas roster has no Langsly account?
Langsly never creates accounts for students. After Import from Canvas, students who have not signed up yet are listed under No Langsly account yet, and they join once they create their own account.
How to do it
- On the class student list, select Import from Canvas. The Canvas roster imported summary lists anyone under Not imported yet.
- Check the reason: No Langsly account yet, No email visible to Langsly, or Hasn’t accepted the Canvas course invitation yet.
- Select Send Canvas invite. Each student receives a Canvas Inbox message with the class join link.
- The student creates a free Langsly account, ideally with the same email they use in Canvas, and verifies it.
- When they open the join link, students in the linked course with a matching verified email are enrolled right away; others send a join request. You can also run Import from Canvas again.
