How do I invite students to my class?
Share your class invite code. Students enter it in Classes to request to join, and you accept each request from the class student list.
How to do it
- Open the class page, find Invite Code, and select Copy. Regenerate creates a new code if the old one was shared too widely.
- Send the code to your students. Each student signs in, opens Classes, types it in Enter invite code, and selects Join.
- On the class page, select View Students and then Requested. In Student Requests, choose Accept or Reject.
- To add someone who is already in another of your classes, select Invite Students, check their name, and choose Invite Selected Students. They confirm with Approve on their Classes page.
- If the class is linked to Canvas, select Import from Canvas to enroll course students who already have a Langsly account.
Frequently asked questions
- Can I invite students by email?
- No. Langsly does not send email invitations or create student accounts. Each student creates an account and joins with the code.
- Is joining automatic?
- No. A code sends a join request that you accept. Students in a linked Canvas course who use their Canvas email are enrolled right away.
- What do the statuses mean?
- Enrolled means the student is in the class, Invited means they have not accepted your invitation yet, and Requested means they are waiting for your approval.
