Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern access to Langsly, including the website, learning platform, classroom tools, games, and Vocab Pass browser extension.

Acceptance

By accessing or using Langsly, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you use Langsly for a school, classroom, company, or other organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms for that organization or that you are using Langsly under its authorization.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use Langsly.

The Service

Langsly provides language learning lessons, practice activities, games, classroom management tools, media tools, social learning features, progress tracking, and the Vocab Pass browser extension.

We may change, suspend, add, or remove features at any time. Some features may be experimental, automated, or generated with assistance from language models or other automated systems.

Accounts and Responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide, for keeping your login credentials secure, and for activity under your account. Notify us at [email protected] if you believe your account has been compromised.

Teachers, schools, and organizations are responsible for managing classroom access, student invitations, assignments, uploaded materials, and any consents required for student use.

Vocab Pass Browser Extension

Vocab Pass is a browser extension that reads page text in your browser to identify vocabulary words and phrases, display replacements, show learning popups, and sync progress with Langsly.

You are responsible for choosing where to enable the extension. Vocab Pass includes controls for disabling it on specific sites and default exclusions for sensitive pages, but you should turn it off anywhere you do not want page text processed for vocabulary learning.

You may not use Vocab Pass to interfere with websites, bypass access controls, scrape data for unrelated purposes, or violate another website's terms.

Acceptable Use

You may not misuse Langsly, including by attempting unauthorized access, probing or disrupting systems, uploading malicious code, harassing others, infringing intellectual property, impersonating others, submitting unlawful content, cheating learning systems, or using Langsly to violate law or third-party rights.

You may not reverse engineer, copy, resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit Langsly except as expressly allowed by us in writing or by applicable law.

User Content

You keep ownership of content you submit, upload, or create in Langsly. You grant Langsly a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, process, display, reproduce, and use that content as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve the service.

You represent that you have the rights needed to submit your content and that your content does not violate law or third-party rights.

Educational Content and Automated Features

Langsly is a learning tool. We work to provide useful lessons, translations, games, and feedback, but we do not guarantee that every translation, explanation, score, generated answer, or automated result will be complete, accurate, or appropriate for every context.

Teachers and users should review generated or automated outputs before relying on them for grading, instruction, publication, or important decisions.

Third-Party Services

Langsly may integrate with third-party services such as Google, Firebase, browser extension stores, hosting providers, and authentication providers. Your use of those services may be subject to their separate terms and policies.

Fees and Paid Features

Some features may be free, and some may be paid or require a plan, pass, coupon, or subscription. Any applicable price, billing period, and cancellation terms will be shown at the time of purchase or activation.

Termination

You may stop using Langsly at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk for Langsly or other users, fail to pay applicable fees, or use the service unlawfully.

Disclaimers

Langsly is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, and uninterrupted operation.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Langsly will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or unauthorized access arising from or related to your use of Langsly.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts located in Utah will have jurisdiction for disputes unless applicable law requires a different forum.

Changes and Contact

We may update these Terms as Langsly changes. If changes are material, we will provide notice through the website, extension, account email, or another reasonable method. Continued use after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.

Questions about these Terms can be sent to [email protected].
