How do I assign a lesson to my class?
Open the class page and select Assign Lesson. Choose one of your lessons or a platform lesson, pick who receives it, and select Assign.
How to do it
- From Classes, open the class. In the Lesson Assigned card, select Assign Lesson.
- Choose My Lessons or Platform Lessons and search by name. Lessons already in the class show Assigned.
- Under Recipients, choose Everyone in this class or Selected students.
- Select Assign. The lesson becomes available to those students; it is not added to the public catalog.
- To change it later, use Edit recipients or Withdraw assignment on the assigned lesson.
Frequently asked questions
- Can I set a due date?
- Lesson assignments do not have due dates. Question-based assignments created with Add Assignment can have an optional due date.
- Can I assign a lesson to one student without a class?
- Yes. Select students in your student list and choose Assign Lesson. The lesson appears under Direct lesson assignments.
- Does the lesson appear in Canvas?
- If the class is linked to a Canvas course, Langsly also creates a Canvas assignment and sends the lesson score to the gradebook.
