Can I connect Google Classroom?

Yes, with limits. While connected, Langsly creates a matching Google Classroom course for each new class, sends Google Classroom invitations to students you invite, and posts new question assignments to that course. It does not import classes or rosters.

How to do it

  1. Open Profile > Settings and find Platform integrations.
  2. Select Connect Google Classroom, continue with Google, and approve access with your Google account.
  3. Create a class as usual. Langsly also creates a Google Classroom course for it. If the Google step fails, the class is not saved, so try again.
  4. When you use Invite Students, students who already have Langsly accounts also get a Google Classroom invitation by email.
  5. When you add a question assignment, Langsly also posts it to the Google Classroom course. After you grade every question in the class report, the grade is sent to Google Classroom too.
  6. Lesson assignments stay in Langsly and are not posted to Google Classroom.

Frequently asked questions

Does it import my existing Google classes or rosters?
No. Students still join your Langsly class with the class invite code.
Do grades sync to Google Classroom?
Only for question assignments added while connected: grades you save in the class report are sent to Google Classroom. Lesson scores stay in Langsly. For roster import and full gradebook sync, use the Canvas connection instead.
Why do I have to connect again?
The Google connection is kept only in the browser you used and expires after a short time, so select Connect Google Classroom again when needed.
